Pack Behaviour and Socialisation
The Cs Wolfdog as all dogs need to know its position in the pack, it gives the dog a sense of belonging and makes it feel secure. It's therefore important that you at an early stage take the role as the pack leader and that your family members take the other leading postitions in the pack making sure that the Wolfdog is last on the list.
With Cs Wolfdogs training, socialisation and pack behaviour is something that you must start with from the first day you get your puppy from the breeder. There is no time to loose - biting, nipping, snapping, jumping and hauling will not grow away by itself. You must show the puppy how to behave and the earlier you start the easier it will be.
Some Cs Wolfdogs don't bark, and if you want it to do so you must teach it. The easiest way of teaching your Wolfdog to bark is to introduce the puppy to a barking dog and let them play and socialise a couple of times until your pyppy starts barking. But this is normally only something you teach them if you want them as guarding dogs, or as working dogs.
It is also important for socialisation that your puppy meets other dogs, people, children, elder and as many animals as possible between the age of 8-16 weeks and that you visit town and teach the puppy to relax in crowded places. But remember it is better late than never to introduce your puppy to something new. If or when you get problems, seek expert help right away before it get worse.
